Updates on Family Things

Hello all,

Haven't had much to say for awhile, but thought that I would update on some of the goings on of the crew.

Connor has been very busy being a typical teen. She is involved in a million different things at school, Natural Helpers, Student Council, Science Olympiad and a few other things. She was in a Hamptons Music Festival for chorus(it is an invite only project. You must be nominated by your teacher) It was an amazing concert. Mom and Dad and Karlys were all able to attend. Tomorrow she has to be at the school at 5:30am to get on a bus headed for Dix Hills for the Science Olympiad competition. Her project is on Heredity. She will be taking tests and competing against other students all day. She has been riding at least 3 days a week (even in this FREEZING weather!) as she wants to make sure that her horse is in top shape for the show season, which starts in April. She plans to "Win!!"

Yori is still going strong with Karate. He is now a brown belt. He also is starting his Lacrosse season soon, and he still wants to play goalie, so Barry has purchased all of the goalie equipment and Yori and Barry spent a Saturday building a 6ft goal in our back yard for him to practice. Barry took Yori to see the NY Titans, NY's first indoor Lacrosse team, at MSG. They had such a great time that Barry came home and bought 2 more tickets for the next game. Yori is also in a music festival (another invite only) for chorus. It will be in March.

Elle Rose has started dance class. She takes a Jazz/Tap/Ballet combo class once a week. She LOVES it. They are so adorable. There are 15 girls in the class, all decked out in pink leotards and tights. TOO CUTE! They will be doing a recital in May. She can't wait. She is loving kindergarten. She has a fit if she has to miss school for any reason. Even when she is sick, she fights about going.

Barry and I are doing great. We are just spending our time trying to keep up with the rest of the crew. We are going to be going paint balling (yes, I plan to play this time) on Monday. Barry shot me with a paintball the other day to let me know how it felt, so I could decide if I really want to play. It hurt like hell and left an instant bruise, but I am going to do it anyway. Barry received the TOP COP award again this year. It is given to the police officer who got the most DWI arrests for the year. This is Barry's 6th time getting this.

Well, now that I have written what I always hate, (those annoying, too happy "what our family has been up to" letters) I will let you all go.

Sianora! (I don't know if that's spelled right)

Wow, Bets. I'm always amazed at the pace you guys keep. Going to the grocery store once a week with one child seems overwhelming to me at times! ;) Anyway, I am always happy to read an update. Keep 'em coming, and more pictures too. I hope Connor has a great day today in Dix Hills. CONGRATULATIONS BARRY ON YEAR #6 AS TOP COP!

Lots of love...9 more days!!
